Services
Individual Therapy
I offer in-person and online individual therapy for adults only.
I have solid and consistent experience working with individuals with a variety of issues including:
Anxiety
Career Uncertainty
Depression
Grief and Loss
Infertility
Interpersonal Issues
Life Adjustments and Transitions
Loneliness
Self-Esteem or Self-Worth Issues
Stress Management
Time Management
Trauma
I operate from a Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic, Creative Arts, Mindfulness-Based, Emotion-Focused, and Strength-Based Theoretical Approach. This means that I help individuals improve thoughts to change behaviors, understand feelings and needs, utilize the arts to illuminate self-exploration and expression, use mindfulness to increase relaxation and awareness, and recognize strengths.
I also use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help individuals alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. EMDR is a type of therapy that assumes emotional pain is often caused by one’s brain becoming blocked or imbalanced due to the impact of a disturbing event. EMDR helps to remove these blocks using evidence-based protocols which incorporate bilateral stimulation (oftentimes in the form of eye-movements) to allow for the block to be removed so the brain's natural healing process can occur.

Clinical Supervision
I've had several mentors who have been instrumental in guiding me on my career path. One of the things I value most from my mentors is when they provide honest feedback and push me outside of my comfort zone. I love having the opportunity to give back and help other counselors in their professional development and help them discover their potential.
I am an approved Supervisor by Idaho Board of Licensure of Professional Counselors and provide supervision to counselors in training and LPC's working on fulfilling their post-graduate supervision hours.
If you are interested in supervision, please contact me at 208-391-3710 or nunezwellnesscounseling@gmail.com to schedule a free meet and greet consultation.

Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What to expect from therapy?
What will sessions look like? Therapy starts with an intake assessment, which typically lasts 60-90 minutes. This is an opportunity for the client to share about their presenting concerns. Following this initial session, together the client and I will work together to come to a shared understanding on how the problem is affecting the client's thoughts, feelings, behaviors, relationships and daily living activities. From this shared understanding, together we will then agree upon goals for making change. To reach these goals for change, therapy will then include various evidence-based strategies and out-of-session homework tasks.
I value the therapeutic relationship and provide genuine warmth, empathy and nonjudgmental acceptance. I will seek to understand your point of view while encouraging and challenging you to reach your goals. I am dedicated to walking alongside you during your process of growth.
Our relationship will be professional, not personal. Contact will be limited to only counseling sessions. I assure you that all services will be rendered in a professional manner consistent with all ethical codes of conduct.
